Would you like to relax with mixed media?

Do you struggle to find your creative flow?

Jenny is sharing one of her favourite ways to relax and recharge: painting abstract mixed media flowers. There's something incredibly therapeutic about the process she is using, and she will help you to find the same flow.

Let go of perfectionism and unlock the power of relaxed and soulful mixed media.

What will you learn?

  • How to create a grungy, textured background using collage made of book pages and tissue paper

  • How to create paper collage without bubbles

  • How to shift the focus of your painting by painting the negative space instead of the image

  • How to relax and recharge by painting flowers in a very meditative and calming way.

Few Art Supplies needed

Playing with mixed media is great fun but you do not need a lot of different art supplies. I love to play with very few supplies and colors. If you have the following supplies you will be able to create the fun flowers in this project.

  • A piece of hard paper such as the front of a magazine, cardboard or mixed media paper, to paint on.

  • Scrap papers for collage; from an old magazine, tissue paper or pages from a book will be fine.

  • Some acrylic paint any colors you like + white

  • Matt acrylic medium or paper glue

  • A hard tool such as a palett knife or an old credit card.

  • Some mark making tools such as a paint brush, stencils or stamps.

  • A water soluble pencil or piece of charcoal

MEET YOUR CREATIVE GUIDE

Jenny Grant

A  perfectly imperfect, mixed media artist.

Like you, I spent many years pushing aside my creative spark. Then, one day I realised the only way to awaken my inner artist was to just dive in and do it.

This menat focusing on the process of making art – the making and doing. Over the years I’ve developed an intuitive, unstructured, tactile and yes, messy (but fun!) process that has allowed me to open up the magic of what is unique within me.

Now, I am a Mixed Media Artist living in Stockholm, Sweden who has sold artwork, exhibited and run workshops all over the world. And I’m on a mission to inspire people like you to be brave, to use your inner creativity and to do more of what you love. To learn how to be more creative in life, as well as in your art.

I love sharing my magic world with you and can’t wait to create together with you. I have seen how my creative approach has helped the creativity blossom in me and in thousands of my students. I’m so excited to share it with you to inspire you to expand your skills, and grow your creative confidence too.

Love Jenny
